Our Design Principles

  • JRC Design Diverse Projects

    Diversity

JRC purposely seeks out to work on a broad mix of design projects, applying our talents to a wide range of built environment needs – residential, cultural, civic, commercial, educational, health care, hospitality, retail and transportation. Experience and diversity of projects, clients and viewpoints gives us the sensitivity to the unique context that springs creativity, visual distinctiveness and functionality to all our design solutions. The goal is to create designs that are stylistically diverse and unique, that successfully define and communicate the client's and site's needs responsibly.

  • JRC Design Collaboration

    Collaboration

We think of collaboration as the original sustainable design solution by the integration of communication design into the physical space rather than applying it after the fact. Full team collaboration provides results with more meaningful participation and more creative outcomes to design challenges than traditional participation methods. It enables the design team to make decisions that reflect the projects needs and values; fosters faith in the wisdom and utility of the resulting project; and everyone is given a personal stake in the projects success of Placemaking.

  • JRC Design Relationships

    Relationships

JRC Design believes the user and the client‘s involvement is an imperative part of design process. With our team approach, JRC Design helps build consensus among multiple stakeholders and disciplines – many times with disparate interests and concerns – into successful projects of all sizes and complexity.

  • JRC Design Form Follows Function

    Form follows function

If the project looks great, but if the message is lost; so goes the user, and the project is not successful – no matter how beautiful the graphics are.

Design is more than a compilation of pretty pictures and ideas. It is the process of defining solutions that are firstly cognitively perceived, and then aesthetically appreciated.
